Inter are ready to make a play for Arsenal striker Lukas Podolski, if they fail to complete a deal for Liverpool man Fabio Borini.

The 29 year old German international has barely played for the Gunners this campaign, and is being linked with a move away from the club in January.

FcInterNews.it report that Inter are willing to ask about the availability of the unwanted striker, who has a contract that runs out with the club in 2016.

A potential move will only occur however, if Inter do not secure their first priority in former Roma striker Fabio Borini.

Podolski’s only start this campaign has occurred in the League Cup, a game in which he failed to net.
