Inter have reportedly have joined the chase in signing young Cruzeiro midfielder Lucas Silva.

The promising 21 year-old played a major role in Cruzeiro’s title winning season in the Brazilian Serie A and has continued to impress thus far in 2014.

According to Spanish newspaper Marca,  Cruzeiro have put a price tag of around €20 million on the highly rated youngster, a price that Inter are prepared to meet.

It is also believed Inter are on the young Brazilian’s trail and could move as early as January in order to pip Real to his signature. Chelsea and Manchester United are also said to be eyeing the player.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti sees the Brazilian as a replacement for Sami Khedira should he leave he club in January or the summer, and has spoken to his former player Serginho, who is AC Milan’s head of scouting in South American, about the player.

Lucas Silva has made 72 appearances since his first team début for Cruzeiro in 2011.
