Inter midfielder Mateo Kovacic will be sidelined for the Nerazzurri’s upcoming Europa League clash with Ukrainian side Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk due to a bad bruise.
The 20-year-old sustained the bruise in the derby della Madonnina against arch rivals AC Milan on the weekend.
According to Sky Sport Italia, the Croatian star partook in a variety of tests on Tuesday, which excluded any muscular problems but will not be fight enough to feature on Thursday.
Despite missing the crucial match, Kovacic will most likely feature in the Nerazzurri’s upcoming match with second placed Roma on Sunday in Serie A.
