Inter defender Juan Jesus has pointed out that the Biscione have been able to remain unbeaten in the Derby della Madonnina when he’s on the pitch and revealed that he’ll be focused on continuing his positive streak.

The Nerazzurri have only lost one out of their last six meetings with AC Milan, which happened to be last season while the former Internacional man was injured, and the 23-year-old believes that his team will be able to come out on top once again on Sunday with new coach Roberto Mancini leading the way.

Juan Jesus spoke to Inter Channel ahead of the clash with the Rossoneri about his history in the Milan derby and the importance of winning, while also mentioning which Diavolo player may prove to be the biggest threat to the Inter defence.

“This will be a match unlike any other, this is a derby that’s know throughout the whole world,” said the Brazilian, who has been with the San Siro outfit since January 2012.

“The past derby results? I have never lost in a derby since my arrival, so I hope to continue like this. It will be difficult but I will do everything to win in order to also maintain this streak.

“The defence of Mancini? We now have one less man in the back, we have to be closer and more concentrated. We will have to make a great game tactically.

“Jeremy Menez? He is really fast, I had also watched him at Paris Saint-Germain. If he’s left any space he can change the game.

“Will I score a goal in the derby? Let’s see if I will start the game first, then we’ll think about a goal. The most important thing though is that the team wins.”
