Juventus are reportedly looking to swap underused forward Sebastian Giovinco for Tottenham Hotspur winger Erik Lamela in January.

The 27-year-old, whose current contract with the Bianconeri is set to expire in June 2015, has been linked to a number of clubs in recent months including Arsenal, Liverpool and Napoli, though it seems the Old Lady will be focused on benefitting from his transfer by sending him to the Spurs in an attempt to land the Argentine.

According to Sportmediaset, Tottenham technical director Franco Baldini is willing to negotiate a deal for Giovinco that would see Lamela join Juventus on loan for the rest of the 2014-15 campaign.

The Juve man has struggled to secure a place in coach Massimiliano Allegri’s team this term and has earned just four Serie A appearances thus far, while Lamela has been impressive in all competitions with the Lilywhites this season by providing a total of three goals and seven assists in 17 appearances.
