Lichtsteiner - JuventusJuventus are turning their attentions to potential replacements for full-back Stephan Lichtsteiner with the club struggling to reach an agreement with the Switzerland international’s representatives to prolong his stay in Turin.

The 30-year-old remains an important part of the Bianconeri’s plans after playing a vital role since arriving from Lazio in 2011 but the club are considering moves for Serie A duo Silvan Widmer of Udinese and Sassuolo’s Sime Vrsaljko.

According to Tuttosport the idea remains to tie the defender to a two-year deal that would secure him €2.5 million-a-year deal while the arrival of a younger alternative would operate behind him for their eventual succession to first-choice.

Since joining the Old Lady the Swiss has endeared himself to Juventus fans with his marauding runs from wing-back netting 10 times in 101 Serie A appearances with the club.
