Juventus are said to be close to securing a deal with Tomas Pochettino that will see the Boca Junior midfielder arrive in Turin during the January transfer window.

The Bianconeri have kept close tabs on the 18-year-old and the move looks set to be finalised once the Argentinian season comes to a close at the end of November.

Sky Sport Italia have revealed Pochettino will travel to Italy to seal the transfer and, provided there are no last minute hitches, will spend the Christmas break in Argentina before a New Year return to begin his Serie A career.

The Juventus Stadium though is not likely to be the young Argentine’s first port of call, with a loan move to gain experience having been lined up.

Sassuolo are in pole position to take Pochettino given their excellent relationship with the Old Lady. Similar deals have previously seen the Italian champions send Domenico Berardi and Simone Zaza to the Mapei Stadium.
