Juventus want to sign Fiorentina’s Stefan Savic in an exchange deal for Sebastian Giovinco, as the Viola target the Italian striker.

The diminutive forward Giovinco has only started two games for the Bianconeri this season, and Vincenzo Montella’s side are interested in signing the striker when his contract runs out at the end of this season.

However, as Tuttosport reveal, Juve will be willing to do a deal in January on the basis they can sign Montenegro defender Savic as part of a swap deal.

Twenty-three-year-old Savic has been a mainstay in the Fiorentina team since his 2012 move from Manchester City, scoring three goals in 68 Serie A appearances.

On the contrast, Giovinco has struggled for form in the last 18 months, relying on appearances from the Old Lady’s bench under both Antonio Conte and Massimiliano Allegri.

Juventus could do with the defensive cover, with injury concerns over Andrea Barzagli and Martin Caceres leaving little room for manoeuvre over an increasingly hectic fixture list.
