Inter midfielder Zdravko Kuzmanovic says his side must continue to aim high after securing a Derby della Madonnina point against AC Milan ‘away’ from home.

He played the entire contest as the Nerazzurri battled back from a first half deficit to secure a point through a crisp strike from Joel Obi in Roberto Mancini’s first game since returning to the helm.

Speaking to Sky Sport Italia, the former Fiorentina man said: “It is an important point. We conceded a poor goal after doing well in the first half and having created many opportunities. In the second half, we started to attack more and score.

“We followed the instructions of the coach very well and I felt we were compact and defended with order and played with speed. Inter must aim high, that is what the new coach wants and what we want too.”

He continued by speaking of his delight for teammate Obi in getting the crucial leveller and emphasised exactly what it is that Mancini expects of his side.

“I want to offer my congratulations to Obi, he deserves this moment because he has gone through a period where he suffered,” smiled the 27-year-old when talking to Mediaset Premium. “We always want to win, unfortunately we did not succeed in this game.

“I think we have improved a lot though and that is important as what the coach wants most is speed. We must work very hard to do exactly what the coach wants.”
