Roma forward Adem Ljajic was devastated by his side’s late 1-1 draw against CSKA Moscow in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Francesco Totti gave the Giallorossi the lead from a fantastic freekic, but an injury time equaliser denied Roma all three points and Ljajic believes it was not Roma’s day.

“This results hurts the team,” Ljajic told Rai Sport after the match.

“We thought that the game was over and that we were going to claim a very important victory for our passage to the knockout stages.

“At 1-0 we created two great chances that both I and Nainggolan could not make the most of.

“But football is like that, some days it goes for you and others it goes against you.”

Roma still have qualification in their hands, a victory over Manchester City in the final round of fixtures would seem them progress to the last 16.
