Lazio winger Senad Lulic admitted his side were second-best and must accept their humbling 3–0 loss against Juventus from Saturday evening.
The 28-year-old Bosnian international was captain for the night, but his side were swept away by a Paul Pogba inspired Bianconeri outfit.
“I think the result speaks for itself clearly, it is a defeat that we must accept unfortunately, they were better than us,” Lulic told Mediaset Premium after the match.
“Football is like this, but we must look ahead. Today, the opponent was stronger and that must be accepted.
“Before, we made five straight wins, and now we have suffered two successive losses; we have to give everything to win the next few games.”
Lazio stay in fifth place in the standings, but could fall as far as ninth when the weekend concludes and if other matches do not go their way.
