Rolando Maran was happy with Chievo’s 1-1 draw away to Udinese and feels they fully merited the result.

The Flying Donkeys went behind thanks to Antonio Di Natale’s 200th Serie A goal, but Ivan Radovanovic levelled midway through the second half. The 51-year-old tactician moved to a 4-4-2 formation and also brought Sergio Pellisier and Ezequiel Schelotto back into the fold.

“The changes we made gave us a big help,” Maran told Rai Sport after the game.

“They played well in the pitch and we managed to equalise after a great goal from Di Natale, who caused us a lot of problems in the first half.

“We did well to stay calm and deserved the result.

“We must be proactive both on and off the field, today we managed to score and that, I think, is a good omen.”
