AC Milan forward Jeremy Menez has revealed that the Diavolo are hoping to achieve victory in the Derby della Madonnina in order to please the club’s fans and has insisted that he’s used to playing in such a tense atmosphere.

The 27-year-old, who had previous stint in the Serie A playing for Roma from 2008-11, is looking to help lead the Rossoneri to a win in his first derby since arriving at the San Siro outfit over the summer and he believes the decisions of coach Filippo Inzaghi will play a big part in the outcome of the match.

Menez spoke to Sky Sport Italia on Friday about his determination to dominate Inter and satisfy the AC Milan supporters, while also comparing the Milan derby to Derby della Capitale in Rome.

“At this point I’m using to playing in heated matches such as a derby,” said the Frenchman.

“I hope to achieve success in my first Milan derby, we want to earn a good result, especially for our fans. In Rome perhaps the derby is felt more, while it’s a different thing here, but I feel tomorrow it will be felt a lot more.

“The derby is not for playing, it’s for winning.

“Who will be the most decisive man in the derby? I say Inzaghi.”
