AC Milan forward Jeremy Menez has revealed that he’s willing to play in any position for the Diavolo and insisted that he remains fully dedicated to helping his team succeed.

The 27-year-old scored both of the Rossoneri’s goals in their 2-0 home victory over Udinese on Sunday, bringing his tally up to seven goals in 13 Serie A appearances this season thus far, and he admits that he’s open to adapting to new roles on the pitch if it can aid the team in securing a positive result.

Menez spoke to Sky Sport Italia following the win against Udinese about AC Milan’s performance throughout the match and his role in the squad, while also commenting on how he chose his shirt number.

“I chose the number seven because it’s special to me, as it’s in my birthday and my daughter’s birthday as well,” said the Frenchman.

“Milan played well today, we couldn’t get more goals, but today it was important to win. All matches are difficult, Udinese are a good team, it was not easy, but we played well and we must continue to win.

“My role? I spoke with [vice-president Adriano] Galliani yesterday about the label of being a false nine, I’m a striker and I can play anywhere to help the team.

“I dedicate my goals to the team because we are all working very well. I think everyone deserves some nice praise.

“My condition? I had a fever and I only slept a little, but I’ll recover.”
