AC Milan winger Jeremy Menez has revealed that he’s working hard to please coach Filippo Inzaghi in order to thank the tactician for showing faith in him.

The 27-year-old started his debut season with the Rossoneri on a positive note after arriving from Paris Saint-Germain over the summer but has since seen a decrease in form, which he partially attributes to his current position in the coach’s squad, though he insists that he’s willing to do whatever Inzaghi asks of him.

Menez spoke to ‘Club Liza’ on RTL about his mission to satisfy the AC Milan boss and explained why he decided to leave PSG for the San Siro outfit, while also commenting on his hopes to earn a key role in France’s national team.

“We always have to learn from our mistakes, I wanted to bounce back and rediscover the pleasure of football and my work,” said the Frenchman, who has scored four goals and provided three assists in his 11 Serie A appearances this season thus far.

“My relationship with Inzaghi? He was the one who wanted me here at Milan, he has great confidence in me and I do not want to disappoint him.

“I like to play in the centre, because that is where I am more effective, but I will play wherever the coach wants me to play.

“The national team? When I signed for Milan, one of the reasons was to earn a spot with France again. The national team is always in my heart.

“Whenever there are call ups, I hope to be there too. I know that the coach watches me so it’s up to me to demonstrate my value to him.”
