Former Inter president Massimo Moratti is satisfied with way the Nerazzurri played in the Derby della Madonnina against AC Milan on Sunday night.

Il Biscione came back from behind to draw with their city rivals, and Moratti has expressed his satisfaction at the way Inter played, as well as praising newly appointed coach Roberto Mancini.

“The game was really good,” he told Sport Mediaset. “Inter didn’t play badly at all.

“Despite having just arrived at the club, Mancini is already doing a good job.”

Moratti then went on to speak about Inter’s chances of finishing in a UEFA Champions League place come the end of the season.

“I don’t know if it will happen,” he said. “It will depend on whether or not the players adapt to Mancini’s formation, and how Mancini himself uses the players at his disposal.”

Moratti left his honorary presidency role at Inter towards the end of October, putting an end to his 19-year stint at the club.
