Elche midfielder Gaby Mudingayi has said he would travel on foot from Spain for the chance to play in Italy for Lazio again.
The Zaire-born former Belgium international was a Biancocelesti player from 2005-08 and has fond memories of his time at the Stadio Olimpico.
“My period in Rome coincided with the best time of my career,” said the 33-year-old in an interview with 88.100 FM Elleradio.
“I came from Torino and thanks to Lazio I played in Serie A and then in the Champions League.
“Not everyone can wear the shirt of Lazio.
“We must be aware of the importance of that shirt, honor and respect.
“In Biancoceleste I grew a lot both as a player and as a man.”
Mudingayi was then asked if he would ever consider returning to Lazio, despite recently signing a one year deal with Elche.
“I would go on foot from Spain to play at Lazio again,” he said.
