Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan has dedicated his side’s 2–1 win over Atalanta to the injured Leandro Castan.
The Belgian international scored the winner for the Giallorossi at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d’Italia, and has said the team’s victory was for the Brazilian centre-back.
“Victory in dedication to Castan!” Tweeted Nainggolan after the game.
A recent Roma club statement on November 20 announced that the Brazil international will undergo brain surgery next month after suffering acute dizziness in a league game with Empoli in September.
The statement also reassured fans that the injury, “does not represent a threat to the player’s life.”
