Juventus legend Pavel Nedved believes that the Bianconeri have become stronger as a result of the change in formation implemented by coach Massimiliano Allegri.

Allegri took over from Antonio Conte in the summer and initially continued with the 3-5-2 formation which had brought his predecessor domestic dominance. However, in recent weeks the 47-year-old has begun to move towards a 4-3-2-1 set up and Nedved has given the tactical shift his seal of approval.

“The work of Allegri is the natural development of the cycle begun by Conte,” Nedved told Tuttosport.

“This change of formation is an intelligent tactical evolution of what came before. Juve are becoming stronger thanks to the style of play adopted.

“This is the way it is possible to grow well not only in Italy, but also in Europe. We have room for improvement.”

Nedved spent eight years as a Juventus player and currently serves of the clubs board of directors.
