Paulo Dybala - Genoa v PalermoPaulo Dybala has responded to calls by Italy coach Antonio Conte encouraging him to elect for the Azzurri by saying it is not a decision he will be rushed into.

The former Juventus boss extended an open invitation to Dybala and teammate Franco Vazquez to become the latest oriundi to make a name for themselves in the famous blue jersey.

However, Dybala told Rai Sport that he will be making no immediate decisions. “Argentina or Italy? I enjoy listening to the rumours because I have worked very hard to try and play for a national team.

“I have dual passports and of course the Italian national team have won four World Cups and are one of the strongest teams in the world.

“I am Argentine though which does not make it an easy decision. I have to think quietly and calmly about it because it is a very important moment in my career.”

Dybala could also have declared for Poland due to an Polish grandfather and although he was called up for the Argentina U20 squad in the past, he turned down the chance to hook up with the squad.
