Palermo will look to continue their run of positive form when they take on bottom of the table Parma at the Stadio Barbera on Sunday afternoon.

The Gialloblù only have six points to their name after twelve rounds despite qualifying for a spot in Europe last season. Palermo meanwhile, will look to take all three points as they continue moving up the ladder, following promotion from Serie B at the start of this season.

Palermo go into this round with almost the entire squad at the disposal of coach Giuseppe Iachini. Young forward Paulo Dybala will look to continue his goal scoring form, having scored in the last three games. His strike partner Franco Vasquez will also be looking for goals, having scored and assisted six goals this season.

The Rosanero will hold home advantage and will be look to prove the fact that the Stadio Renzo Barbera is their strongest ground, having only lost once their this season. A home crowd just shy of 20,000 is expected, meaning that support for Palermo will be at its strongest and have extra motivation as they could move into the top 10 with a win.

Parma meanwhile are desperate to escape the clutches of relegation against a team who in previous years has been in similar situations. Roberto Donadoni’s men have struggled for form this season and only have two wins to their name despite the striking power of Antonio Cassano and Ishak Belfodil.

The Gialloblù are facing a series of key injuries with Jonathan Biabiany and Gabriel Paletta still long term injury doubts, goalkeeper Antonio Mirante is also missing through injury, adding to Donadoni’s selection woes.

Parma though, can take solace in that Palermo haven’t triumphed in a Serie A encounter between the two sides since 2010 – a 3-1 win.
