Paris Saint-Germain join Arsenal in chase for Juventus defender

Lichtsteiner - JuventusStephan Lichtsteiner’s future is still up in the air with Paris Saint-Germain the latest to be linked with the Switzerland international.

The 30-year-old is out of contract at Juventus at the end of the season and talks over a new deal are said to have stalled, with the player looking for a €1 million increase on his €2m per season salary.

According to Tuttosport, the French champions have long eyed the fullback, and are confident of meeting Lichtsteiner’s wage demands by offering a three-year deal at €3m a season.

Arsenal are also interested in Lichsteiner and it is believed that contact has already been made with the former Lazio man. Meanwhile, Juve have also been linked to Liverpool’s Glen Johnson as a replacement.
