Inter defeated Dnipro 2-1 at the San Siro on Thursday night in the Europa league to progress to the knock-out round.

Ruslan Rotan put the away side ahead but goals from Zdravko Kuzmanovic and Pablo Osvaldo turned the game around for the Nerazzurri who also had Samir Handanovic to thank for saving a penalty.

Here are our ratings, have your say in the comment below!

Inter

Samir Handanovic – 8 – Hero

Made numerous saves to keep his side in front and also saved a penalty which meant that he’s saved six spot kicks in a row when Inter were already a goal down.

Dodo – 6 – Exuberant

The full-back was full of running but at times tried too many skills when an easy pass was on.

Andrea Ranocchia – 4.5 – Off

The Italian centre back made two rough challenges and was dismissed at the start of the second half.

Juan Jesus – 5 – Troubled

Found it difficult at times to deal with Dnipro’s fast flowing attacking movement.

Yuto Nagatomo – 5 – Injured

Limped off with an injured shoulder after missing a good chance. Used his pace well down the wing when he was on the pitch.

Gary Medel – 6 – Tireless

The Chilean worked his socks off when his team was without the ball, especially when they were reduced to ten men.

Fredy Guarin – 5 – Clumsy

Made a few silly challenges especially the one which gave away the penalty in which he was no-where near the ball.

Zdravko Kuzmanovic – 6.5 – Accurate

The midfielder calmly slotted in the equaliser to put his side on level terms in what was his first goal since April 2012.

Hernanes – 7 – Composed

Looked comfortable on the ball the majority of the time and played in a neat pass for Osvaldo to score the winner.

Mauro Icardi – 6 – Uninvolved

The striker wasn’t involved in many of Inter’s attacks and didn’t seem to make many clever runs.

Pablo Osvaldo – 7 – Potent

Finished his chance well with a neat finish into the bottom corner to win the game for Inter.

Substitutes

Hugo Campagnaro – Solid – 6

Came on for Nagatomo and did a good job at the back especially when Ranocchia was dismissed.

Marco Andreolli – Disciplined – 6

The defender replaced Icardi as Inter took a more defensive approach and the utility player kept Dnipro’s attackers at bay.

Joel Obi – Workhorse – 6

Came on for Hernanes but did a more defensive job and helped his side get the ball back up the pitch.

Dnipro

Denys Boyko – 5 – Disappointing

Did not have to deal with much all night but should have done better with Kuzmanovic’s goal as it went under his body.

Artem Fedetskyi – 6 – Effective

The full-back dealt well with a challenge of facing Dodo with the Brazilian failing to really go by him.

Douglas – 6 – Strong

Won the physical battle against Icardi but also missed a golden chance as his free header went over the bar in the first half.

Ondrej Mazuch – 5 – Switched off

The defender should have marked Pablo Osvaldo better as the forward was given the freedom of the area to win the game for Inter.

Alexandru Vlad – 6 – Unchallenged

The Romanian did not contribute to many attacks but after Nagatomo was injured, Inter had no threat down the right-hand side.

Serhiy Kravchenko – 6 – Calm

The defensive midfielder kept things ticking for the Ukrainians with some neat passing.

Yehven Cheberyachko – 6 – Attacking

Contributed to some of his side’s attacks well and found himself well up the pitch the majority of the time.

Valeriy Luchkevych – 6.5 – Exciting

The winger linked up well with Yehven Konoplyanka to contribute to some fast flowing attacks from the Ukrainian side.

Yehven Konoplyanka – 7 – Dangerous

Was the dangerman for the away side. Almost every attack came through him and his effort led to the first goal being scored.

Ruslan Rotan – 7 – Key

Put Dnipro in front as he reacted first to a rebound and almost equalised for his team with a delicious free-kick which whistled past the post.

Nikola Kalinic – 5.5 – Quiet

The Croatian forward linked up well with the midfielders but rarely had any decent efforts on goal.

Substitutes

Matheus – N/A

Bruno Gama – N/A

Yehven Seleznyov – N/A

The forward had a goal disallowed at the death for being slightly offisde.
