Torino striker Fabio Quagliarella has joked that teammate Matteo Darmian has learned to find his scoring boots thanks to the former Juventus man.

Darmian has only scored once in Serie A so far this season, but has been involved in plenty of attacks which have nearly culminated in him finding the scoresheet.

“Since we have been in the dressing room together,” joked Quagliarella, “Matteo has also learned how to score.

“I hope he comes back to assist me and allows me to score more goals, which could help me make it to the national team.

“I’m happy for Darmian as he is a great professional. He is growing a lot and deserves the Azzurri shirt.”

Torino will host Atalanta at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday night when Quagliarella will try to add to his tally of four goals.
