Roma are looking to sign former Inter and Napoli defender Rolando from Porto as a replacement for Brazilian Leandro Castan.
The Giallorossi recently released a statement reporting that Castan will undergo brain surgery at the beginning of December to fix a congenital vascular alteration, more commonly known as a cavernoma.
According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Roma will try to sign the experienced Serie A centre back during the upcoming January transfer window and are looking to pay less than Porto’s €4 million asking price for the 29-year-old.
Rolando made 29 appearances in Serie A last season, scoring 4 goals for the Nerazzurri.
