Roma are ready to compete with Paris Saint-Germain for the signing of Benfica star Nicolas Gaitain.
The 26-year-old Argentinian international has established himself as one of the best players in the Portuguese league over the past few years, and could be set for big-money move.
Gaitan only signed a new contract with the club until 2018 earlier this month, but his new deal includes a buy-out clause of €35 million for clubs overseas.
Le Parisien report that PSG are ready to activate the talented winger’s buyout clause, as they chase a replacement for Ezequiel Lavezzi who has been linked with a move back to the Serie A.
PSG also face competition from Monaco and Roma, whose coach Rudi Garcia is looking for quality reinforcements in the upcoming transfer window.
