Roma have reportedly already set a budget for the upcoming January transfer window and are currently deciding on which type of players are needed most at the capital city club for the second half of the season.

The Giallorossi may be sitting in second place in the Serie A standings, but have been inconsistent in the Champions League thus far and are expected to make several important purchases this winter in order to strengthen the Italian side in the case that they manage to advance past the competition’s group stage.

According to Leggo, Roma will be working with a budget of around €15 million in January and sporting director Walter Sabatini’s first objective will be signing two defensive players, as the Stadio Olimpico outfit have been struggling more in that department as of late.

Reports suggest that one of the team’s main targets is Parma centre-back Gabriel Paletta, who may be willing to leave the last place Crociati if the right offer arrives.

The Lupi will be playing their next Champions League match against CSKA Moscow in Russia on Tuesday and will need a victory to temporarily secure second place in the group standings.
