Roma centre-back Leandro Castan has thanked fans for their kind thoughts while he is out on the sidelines.
The Brazil international was injured earlier on in the season and it has recently been announced that he will undergo brain surgery next month, which has led to fans of the Giallorossi wishing him a speedy recovery.
The 28-year-old tweeted: “I would like to thank everyone for the many demonstrations of affection!
“You gave me even more strength… I will be back soon and stronger than ever!”
Castan suffered acute dizziness in a league game against Empoli in September, which was his only appearance of the season so far for the Giallorossi, but Roma have reassured fans that the injury does not represent a threat to the player’s life.
