Sassuolo coach Eusebio Di Francesco believes that Hellas Verona will look to attack the Neroverdi from the outset when the two sides meet on Saturday at the Mapei Stadium.

The Neroverdi have turned the tide in recent games with some positive performances and results and are currently on a six match unbeaten streak in the Serie A.

However, Di Francesco believes that the upcoming fixture against Verona will prove to be a test in attack.

“Last year the games against Verona were not easy,” said the Italian at a pre-match conference.

“They also had a great season last year and their coach [Andrea] Mandorlini has done and is doing a great job.

“Continuity is important to us. The victory on Sunday against Torino gave us strength to make the leap, although for me something is still missing in the team.

“If you take away the match at the San Siro against Inter, we would be one of the best defenses in the league but we have to improve in attack.”

The former Pescara coach will have to do without Italy striker Simone Zaza, who is suspended for the match after accumulating four yellow cards.

“[Sergio] Floccari has done well when called into the team and [Leonardo] Pavoletti is training really well. So, I’m happy to have these alternatives.”
