Round 11 of Serie A saw leaders Juventus run rampant against Parma with the Bianconeri handing out a 7-0 beating to Roberto Donadoni’s team.

Empoli condemned an in form Lazio to a 2-1 defeat, while high fliers Sampdoria played an entertaining 2-2 draw against AC Milan.

For the Team of The Week we have chosen a 4-2-4 formation with Juventus’ Fernand0 Llorente paired with Sergio Pellissier spearheading the attack with Stephan El Shaarawy and Carlos Tevez playing the supporting cast out wide.

If you disagree with our selection, feel free to leave a comment and suggest your changes.

Orestis Karnezis – Udinese

Udinese’s best player by miles and one of the main reason that the Zebrette got a point from the fixture. Denied Palermo on numerous occasions including Vazquez’s penalty and a last minute free kick from Dybala that seemed destined for goal.

Federico Peluso – Sassuolo

The summer signing from Juventus was solid down his flank. Was a willing runner and provided an ever available option point down the left-hand side for Sassuolo to launch attacks.

Team of the Week 11Federico Barba – Empoli

The youngster kept tabs on the potent Lazio attack throughout and ensured they got very little change of him. Showed determination to win the header and score the opener to set Empoli on their way.

Raul Albiol – Napoli

Albiol was a rock at the back and marshalled the back-line to deny Fiorentina any clear goal scoring opportunities. Excellent position and reading of the game meant the Spaniard was rarely troubled.

Stephan Lichtsteiner – Juventus

Despite playing as a traditional right back, the Swiss international kept going on marauding runs forward to great effect. Scored a thumping volley after a fine piece of control and then whipped in two assists by delivering inch perfect crosses for Llorente and Morata.

Seydou Keita – Roma

The ex-Barcelona man provided a calming influence in the middle of park for the Giallorossi. Kept things simple and recovered possession by getting stuck in. Capped his performance with a well taken goal from the edge of the area.

Paul Pogba – Juventus

Pogba is in rich vein of form of late and gave a dominant performance against Parma. Was full of running down the left hand side and kept popping up in dangerous positions. His long range shooting was too hot to handle for the goalkeeper and led to two goals.

Stephan El Shaarawy – AC Milan

Having not scored since February 2013 for AC Milan, El Shaarawy ended the goal drought in style by cutting in from the left side and curling the ball in to the bottom far corner. The early goal gave him confidence and he looked dangerous throughout.

Sergio Pellissier – Chievo

Came on as substitute on half time and completely changed the game with a man of the match performance. Rolled back the years to score two well taken goals and win three points for his team.

Fernando Llorente – Juventus

The Spaniard served as a focal point in attack and held up the ball for willing runners around him. In a supremely clinical performance took both chances that came his way to set Juventus up for the massive win.

Carlos Tevez – Juventus

El Apache shows no signs of slowing up on his excellent start to the season. Attacked relentlessly in typical manner and was rewarded with two goals, including a goal of the season contender driving past three Parma players and rolling the ball past the goalkeeper.
