Livorno scored a last minute winner to seal a 3-2 win over Bologna at the Stadio Armando Picchi on Saturday afternoon in Serie B.

The win takes the Amaranto up to second place in the table level with the Rossoblu who blew their chance to stay level with Carpi at the top of the table.

It was a pretty uneventful first half as both teams went in to the break without goals.

The away side then took the lead through an own goal from Federico Ceccherini but Livorno equalised minutes later through a strike from Daniele Vantaggiato.

Bologna went back in front with 15 minutes left of the match when Franco Zuculini was left alone in the box to slot home.

The Amaranto turned the game on its head in the final ten minutes. In the 83rd minute, Andrey Galabinov converted from the spot to level up proceedings and then in the 89th minute Vantaggiato claimed his second of the match to send his side into second place in the table.

Carpi continued their impressive run of form at the top of the table as they defeated Vicenza 1-0.

It was a goal at the start of the second half from prolific striker Jerry Mbakogu to give the Biancorossi a three point lead at the summit of Serie B.

Elsewhere, Crotone lifted themselves off the bottom of the table as they were 2-1 victors against Perugia.

An own goal from Abel Gigli on the stroke of half-time gave Perugia a 1-0 lead going into the interval.

Then a strike from Ernesto Torregrossa and a spot kick from Pietro De Giorgio turned the game on it’s head and lifted Crotone up to 20th position.

Trapani moved up to fourth place after a late comeback to win 3-2 against Brescia.

Brescia took the lead in the first half thanks to an early goal from Alessio Sestu but the home side equalised on the hour mark through Giovanni Abate.

Minutes later the Leonessa re-took the lead as Ahmad Benali scored but Trapani were to have the last laugh.

Goals in the 71st and 76th minute from Maurizio Ciaramitaro and Mattia Aramu won the game for the Granata and sent them to fourth position.

Serie B newcomers Pro Vercelli smashed Bari 3-0 as Ettore Marchi grabbed a hat-trick.

The striker is now joint top-scorer in the league with Luigi Castaldo of Avellino, who scored a penalty to give his side a 1-0 win over Catania.

An injury time goal from Nahuel Valentini gave ten man Spezia a 2-1 win over Pescara.

Valentini put Spezia in front in the first half, but an own goal from Luca Ceccarelli in the 76th minute put the Delfini on level terms.

Valentini then grabbed his second of the match in the third minute of injury time to give the Aquilotti a 2-1 win.

There was a goalless draw in the match between Virtus Entella and Virtus Lanciano and Ternana and Cittadella played out a 1-1 draw.

Nicola Rigoni put Citta in front but then Davide Gavazzi equalised just before the break to earn a point for Ternana.
