The International break meant that Serie A missed a week, but Serie B teams were back in action.

Although a game lighter with the match between Virtus Entella and Modena being postponed, there was still plenty to talk about.

Crotone finally moved off the bottom of Serie B with a convincing 3-0 victory over Bari to take the away side’s run of games without a win up to five.

Camillo Ciano broke the deadlock in the first half and Pietro De Giorgio made it two halfway through the second half.

In the third minute of injury time, Raffaele Maiello secured the win for the Rossoblu and piled more misery on the Galletti.

Pescara shocked Frosinone at the Stadio Adriatico with a 3-0 win, as the Gialloazzurri now trail Carpi by three points at the top of the table.

Federico Melchiorri opened the scoring for the Delfini and then talisman Riccardo Maniero scored from the spot.

The home side added to the scoring late on when Cristian Pasquato fired home. The victors were reduced to ten men in added time as Emanuele Pesoli received his second yellow card.

Elsewhere, three goals in fifteen minutes ensured a 3-1 victory for Livorno over Pro Vercelli which takes the Amaranto up to third place.

An early own goal from Jonny Mosquera meant that the away side went into half-time in the lead.

It took the home team until the 72nd minute to get back on level terms as Daniele Vantaggiato netted. Later goals from Luca Siligardi and Jefferson secured the win for Livorno.

In the early kick-off, a second half comeback from Catania earned them a 2-2 draw away at Trapani.

Trapani went 2-0 up inside 16 minutes thanks to goals from Giovanni Abate and Simone Basso.

A second half brace from Sebastian Leto either side of a red card for Trapani’s Maurizio Ciaramitaro salvaged a point for the Elefanti.

Latina defeated Virtus Lanciano 1-0 thanks to a goal from Hernan Dellafiore which ensured that the Nerazzurri were a point clear of Cittadella at the bottom of the table.

In other matches a 90th minute goal for Varese denied the three points for Perugia.

It took Perugia 75 minutes to open the scoring as Vittorio Parigini found the net. Then, at the death, Luca Miracoli scored to earn his side a point.

The late kick-off between Avellino and Vicenza saw the away side claim the three points with a 1-0 win thanks to a first-half goal from Andrea Cocco.

Lastly, Ternana denied Spezia a place in the top two with a 0-0 draw at the Stadio Libero Liberati.
