Torino president Urbano Cairo has reaffirmed his faith in coach Giampiero Ventura, following the 1-0 loss to Sassuolo.

The defeat to Sassuolo on Sunday at Stadio Olimpico di Torino led to the home crowd booing their team. Adding fuel to the discontentment, Ventura made a statement that he will not attend any press conferences from now on.

“I have full confidence in Ventura, he is our coach with whom we are doing very well,” Cairo told Sport Mediaset. “The whistles today are excessive as nothing special happened we just lost a game.”

“I’m disappointed by the result, but not angry or worried. These are things that can fixed.”

After three consecutive defeats, Torino will hope to get back to winning ways in Europa League and give their fans something to cheer about as they host to Club Brugge on Thursday.
