Torino striker apologises to fans after HJK defeat

fabio quagliarella torinoFabio Quagliarella has said sorry to Torino fans after they lost 2-1 at HJK Helsinki in the Europa League.

The Italian striker scored Torino’s goal but was unhappy with the way his team played.

“First of all I would like to say sorry to our fans, tonight was not good enough,” Quagliarella told reporters after the game.

“With all due respect to Helsinki they are team that we should be beating.

“We did not play well against a beatable team.

“No we have an opportunity against Roma on Sunday to put things right.

“We will reflect on the game and look to improve moving forward.”

Despite the defeat Torino are still in a strong position to qualify from Group B with seven points from their four Europa League matches.
