Francesco Totti praised his Roma team-mates for their 2–1 comeback win over Atalanta in Saturday’s Serie A action.
Totti was unavailable for selection through suspension on the day. The Roma captain however insisted on saluting his team-mates’ performance in overcoming a tough Atalanta team.
“Winning after coming back is always very difficult and even more so against Atalanta who are especially combative in Bergamo,” said Totti on his personal website.
“Many congratulations to Michele [Somma] for his debut in Serie A, which is a source of pride for our youth.”
After failing to be on the pitch in the weekend, Totti will be fully fit and ready to help his team-mates in midweek Champions League against CSKA Moscow.
