Udinese shared the points with Chievo after a 1-1 draw at the Stadio Friuli on Sunday in Serie A in a special match for Antonio Di Natale.

The 37-year-old bagged his 200th Serie A goal just before half-time, but Ivan Radovanovic levelled with a thunderous strike midway through the second period.

Di Natale had the first real opportunity of the game but hit curling shot was well saved by Albano Bizzarri.

Not long after it looked as if Udinese had the lead, after Danilo put the ball in the back of the net. But the referee called for a foul and it was disallowed.

Emmanuel Badu was next in line, but his toe-poked effort from just inside the area went inches wide.

Chievo started to grow into the game more and Ezequiel Schelotto saw a header glance wide.

Danilo then became the hero at the other end after clearing a Sergio Pellissier shot off the line, before Orestis Karnezis made an excellent save from Valter Birsa’s follow up.

However, just before half-time, a poor defensive header fell to Di Natale just inside the penalty area, and on his 400th Serie A appearance, he rifled past Bizzarri to bag his 200th Serie A goal.

After the break the home side continued in the same vein, Allan had a shot saved, then Cyril Thereau saw another blocked.

Ervin Zukanovic headed wide for Chievo, before Alberto Paloschi’s turning volley went just wide of the post. Birsa also forced a good save from Karnezis as well.

As the second period wore on, the Flying Donkeys exerted more and more pressure on their opponents, without creating anything clearcut. However, Radovanovic bagged his first in Serie A for Chievo from long range.

That goal woke Udinese from their slumber asThomas Heurtaux volleyed over after getting on the end of a Di Natale flick on.

Stramaccioni’s men looked the more dangerous in the final stages but couldn’t get a second against a resolute Chievo backline.
