Former Inter midfielder Juan Sebastian Veron believes that Roberto Mancini is a winner — and even joked that he would also make himself available to play for the Nerazzurri — ahead of Sunday’s derby clash against AC Milan.
Veron, 39, spent two seasons on loan at the San Siro under the stewardship of Mancini as the side began their Serie A domination.
“Mancini is a winner and a great coach,” Veron told Tuttosport.
“I will give him a call to see if he needs someone with two good feet in the middle of the park, though he now has [Mateo] Kovacic.”
The former Lazio man also discussed his former side’s upcoming game against Juventus.
“Controlling [Carlos] Tevez is always a big problem, but the Biancocelesti are a good team.”
Veron enjoyed a highly successful time in Serie A during his career, lifting the Scudetto twice with both Inter and Lazio.
