Following his side’s 3–3 draw with Napoli, Cagliari coach Zdenek Zeman took solace in the point and effused about his side’s competitiveness.
Cagliari are currently 16th in Serie A and have been struggling for results since Zeman’s arrival in the summer.
Although results have not been speaking him his favor, Zeman backed his side’s quality and was convinced that Cagliari can in fact compete with anyone in Serie A.
“For us it is an important point,” said Zeman to Sky Sport Italia.
“In the first 20 minutes, we were stuck [mentally].
“Sooner or later, we will realize that if we play, we can compete with anyone.”
