AC Milan tactician Filippo Inzaghi was impressed by his side’s attitude after their 0-0 draw against Scudetto hopefuls Roma at the Stadio Olimpico on Saturday evening.
Despite going down to ten men, the Rossoneri more than held their own away to the Giallorossi and took home a well deserved point.
“I’m happy because before going down to ten men I really believed we could have won the match,”Inzaghi told Sky Sport Italia.
“We were fantastic tonight against Roma and I’m very proud of my team.”
When asked whether he felt Milan could get into the Champions League placings, Inzaghi was adamant his side are moving in the right direction.
“We have earned four points against Napoli and Roma and I think we are on the right track,” he continued.
“With the spirit we have shown against these two sides we can make it into third place.”
