AC Milan midfielder Giacomo Bonaventura has stated his aim is to help the club get back to its glory days by competing in both Serie A and in European competition.

The 25-year-old joined the club from Atalanta at the end of the summer transfer window and says he has settled in well at the San Siro.

“From the first moment that I had to deal with Milan I knew it was a super club from all points of view,” said Bonaventura, speaking to Sky Sport Italia.

“I would love to stay here for many years and get the club competing both in Italy and in Europe again to win some silverware.

“The dressing room is a beautiful setting, the guys welcomed all me.

“Inzaghi has always given me confidence, pushing me to improve in every way.”

The midfielder went on to talk about the Rossoneri’s objectives this season.

“Is our objective third place? We will try because we have the ability,” he said.

“We have to be ambitious and the match against Roma will tell us where we stand in our growth process.”
