AC Milan are continuing their advances for winger Alessio Cerci, despite the rejection of a recent approach for the Atletico Madrid player.

The Italian international joined the Colchoneros this summer after a scintillating season with Torino, but is failing to settle in Spain and has only made a handful of appearances for his new side.

Sportmediaset have reported that a delegation from the Rossoneri proposed a swap-loan deal for Cerci with Fernando Torres going in the opposite direction, but the offer was immediately rebuffed.

Torres has not had a good start to his AC Milan career and it appears that the Italian club are looking to offload the forward and find better alternatives in the striking department and see 27-year-old Cerci as an ideal replacement.
