Atletico Madrid winger Alessio Cerci is all set to complete a medical with Italian club AC Milan on Tuesday December 30 to confirm a loan deal that would see Fernando Torres go the other way.
Cerci, despite a highly impressive 2013-14 season at Torino , has struggled to cement his position under Diego Simeone in Spain, making just six league appearances without scoring any goals this campaign.
Sky Italia understands that Cerci will be arriving in Milan for a complete medical examination on Tuesday, following which he will sign off on a deal that would keep him at the club for a period of 18 months.
The Italy international was believed to want a move back to his homeland and the Rossoneri were looking to offload misfiring centre forward Torres at the same time and after detailed negotiations a deal has been struck.
Cerci was a revelation during the 2013-2014 Serie A campaign, after forming a deadly partnership with Borussia Dortmund centre forward Ciro Immobile upfront for Torino.
