Jose Callejon - NapoliNapoli forward Jose Callejon has revealed that the Azzurri are focused on earning a victory over Juventus in the Supercoppa Italiana, though he understands that the Turin giants are a tough side to overcome.

The Partenopei will be facing off with the Bianconeri in Qatar on Monday and the 27-year-old admits that the Neapolitan side will be depending on striker Gonzalo Higuain to lead them to a victory over the reigning Serie A champions as they try to secure a second trophy under Rafa Benitez, with the first being the Coppa Italia last term.

Callejon spoke to Rai Sport on Sunday about the Supercoppa Italiana clash between Napoli and Juventus and mentioned the importance of Higuain’s presence in the squad despite his lack of goals as of late, while also commenting on the San Paolo outfit’s determination to succeed.

“Higuain? He’s not scoring goals like he wants to, but he remains a leader for us,” said the Spanish international. “He must give his best in order to lead us to victory.

“How important is the game against Juve? Winning a trophy is always important to us and to do so against the Bianconeri would be very nice.

“Massimiliano Allegri leads a very strong team, but we have worked well and will be entering the match with a lot of confidence.”
