Serie B outfit Crotone are looking to sign Udinese youngster Simone Scuffet on loan until the end of the season.

The 18-year-old Italian youth international established himself as one of the finest young goalkeepers in world football last season, but has not featured in the league at all this season.

Tuttomercatoweb reports that Crotone are in the hunt for a new goalkeeper, and have asked the Fruili outfit about possibly taking Scuffet on until the end of the season.

The youngster, who rejected Atletico Madrid this summer, has been resigned to just Coppa Italia appearances as boss Andrea Stramaccioni has favoured Orestis Karnezis as his number one instead.

It remains to be seen whether Scuffet would be willing to drop down a division, but Udinese would prefer for him to receive first team football rather than stagnate on the bench.
