Roma goalkeeper Morgan De Sanctis feels that his side lacked in efforts to take advantage over AC Milan in their closely contested 0-0 draw at the Stadio Olimpico on Saturday.

The Giallorossi were given a man advantage following the sending off of Pablo Armero in the second half, but were met with strong resistance by the visitors.

“Milan have played a good game,” said De Sanctis to Sky Sport Italia. “We could not be more lucid after the expulsion of Armero… Milan did not steal the result, but we regret not taking advantage of our numerical superiority.

“We could have served a bit of brilliance more to take home a very important victory. Milan were very organised and quick, even in defence.”

The 37-year-old then added his thoughts on his team’s place in the Serie A table.

“Juventus have three points more, but we are on the 16th matchday and we are doing well,” he said.

“The only regret is not having won the last two matches at home.”
