Dear Santa: A Christmas wishlist from Udinese

Dear Mr. Santa Claus,

My name is Antonio Di Natale, but all my friends call me Toto! I am 37 years old and I love football. I play for a team called Udinese and my coach and my friends say I am really good! Our nickname is the Little Zebras, I think it’s because I am small for my age and because I can run as fast as a zebra.

Thank you for answering my letter and wish from last year. I am glad you were able to get Udinese a brand new stadium! It is not ready yet but we are all excited for it to be finished! Sometimes our coach Andrea Stramaccioni (we call him Mr. Strama because his name is really hard to pronounce) lets us play thereeven though there are a lot of trucks building things.

For Christmas this year I would only two things and would be very happy if you were able to get them to me for Christmas!

I would like a really good player to be signed to Udinese in January. I love my teammates and have fun with them, but I want a really cool player to play with us in January. I hope it is my friend Mario Balotelli. He is playing in England right now and is not very happy. I do not want to see him sad so hopefully he can come and play with us! Then we would both be happy! If you cannot get Mario to come to Udine, can we get another really awesome player instead? That would be so cool!

I would also like to score 38 more goals this season so I can beat my friend Francesco Totti’s record. If 38 is too many goals, can I please score five so I can beat Roberto Baggio’s record? Thank you!

My of my teammates asked me to put in what they want in my letter to you too; they’re practicing really hard for our last match against Sampdoria before our Christmas holiday.

  • Strama: the latest edition of Football Manager and hair gel. Extra strength.
  • Pozzo: an MLS team (but Santa, he already has three teams so I think he is being greedy. Please do not get him another team!)
  • Alexis Zapata: for people to stop calling him “Cristian.”
  • Simone Scuffet: to not be injured anymore so he can play with us again.
  • Luis Muriel: for people to stop comparing to him to Alexis Sanchez. Alexis is my friend but I like playing with Luis better. I hope he can stay with the team.
  • Maurizio Domizzi: for his spot on the team back, as well as his parking space.

Thank you so much! I hope you, Mrs. Claus, the reindeer, and the elves have a very nice Christmas. Be careful when you fly around the Alps. They are really big!

Here is a picture of us playing football:

Toto Santa Letter

Love your friend,

Toto.

PS: Mr. Strama says your name is Father Christmas. Does that mean you are my dad?!
