Cesena coach Domenico Di Carlo has stated that he and his players were stunned by the penalty decision through which allowed the Neroverdi to take the lead in their match on Saturday night.
Cesena held Sassuolo, 1-1 at the Mapei stadium with Simone Zaza putting the home side ahead from the spot, before Ze Eduardo equalised int the final minute of the game.
“I’m happy because I have seen some improvement in our performance,” Di Carlo told Sky Sport Italia.
“I am happy with this performance, especially after conceding four to Fiorentina.
“That penalty was undeserved.
“Ze Eduardo had the chance to score and he took it well. We all know he is a player of great quality.
“We have a large group of 28 players. The boys are training well and I think we can do a good job.
“We will fight till the end to get the result we want.”
