AC Milan goalkeeper Diego Lopez feels that his team’s upcoming away clash with Roma will be a great opportunity for the Diavolo to showcase their talent by securing some points.
The Rossoneri will be heading to the Stadio Olimpico to face the Giallorossi on Saturday with hopes of breaking into the top five in the Serie A standings, but the 33-year-old understands that the hosts will be a tough side to overcome, pointing out that Rudi Garcia has many powerful players besides captain Francesco Totti.
Lopez spoke to Il Messaggero about AC Milan’s approaching battle with Roma and admitted that he’s looking forward to an exciting match, while also commenting on his decision to leave Real Madrid for the San Siro outfit over the summer.
“It will be a great match against a very strong team,” said the Spanish international. “Roma have a great attack, to challenge them will be a great opportunity for us.
“Francesco Totti is a star, but Roma are not only made up of him, their entire team is important.
“My decision to join Milan from Real? The Rossoneri had always been my first option, Carlo Ancelotti spoke very highly of this club to me.”
