Sampdoria forward Manolo Gabbiadini has revealed that he’s impressed with his team’s run this season thus far and is happy to have helped his side secure a draw with Udinese on Sunday.

The 23-year-old scored a crucial goal in the second half of the Blucerchiati’s 2-2 draw with the Zebrette at home, bringing his tally up to seven goals in his 13 Serie A appearances this term, but he admits that he’s unsure if his career at the Genoese side will continue beyond January as he’s been linked with a move to Napoli in recent weeks.

Gabbiadini spoke to Sky Sport Italia following the draw with Udinese about Sampdoria’s ability to persevere throughout the campaign and his mission to score more goals, while also commenting on his future.

“We have proven to be a great team, not only because of what we managed to do today but also because of what we’ve been doing throughout the season,” said the Italian international.

“Our ranking proves it. Today the game had started badly in some aspects, but we kept our concentration and found an equaliser in the second half.

“I want to score more, but the important thing is the whole team’s overall performance. Today I happened to score a goal and I’m happy.

“Am I leaving in January? I don’t know if this was my last goal in a Sampdoria shirt. I always honour any shirt I’m wearing.”
