Roma coach Rudi Garcia admitted his side were not at their best after their 0-0 draw at home to AC Milan on Saturday evening.

The Giallorossi failed to break down Filippo Inzaghi’s well organised side and are now three points behind league leaders Juventus at the top of Serie A.

Speaking to Sky Sport Italia after the match, the Frenchman said: “It’s two points dropped and we missed the creativity of [Miralem] Pjanic.

“There was a handball from [Nigel] de Jong but we should have done better. Tonight we came up against an ultra-defensive Milan side.”

When asked whether he stood by his decision to drop an in-form Adem Ljajic in favour of Alessandro Florenzi, the coach convincingly replied “Yes”.
